Connection is everything.

Be deeply present with people, immerse yourself in nature, get curious about your body and listen to the intelligence it offers. Quiet your mind and embrace your intuition. With an open heart, I hope to make small changes in how we care for our bodies, birth our babies, nurture our children and support our mothers.

Bodywork is the foundation of my practice. I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over two decades. My training at Swedish Institute in NYC exposed me to an alternative world of ancient wisdom, modalities, teachers and healers. I am constantly learning, evolving and integrating through both giving and receiving bodywork. Touch is healing.

My early education was as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. With a focus in pediatrics, I worked in rehabilitation, hospital and school settings including Burke Rehabilitation, St. Agnes Children’s Rehabilitation and Blythedale Children’s Hospitals. Later, I became a teacher and care-giver with the youngest 2’s and 3’s in a nature and play-based setting at the Lindgren School. I am continuously devoted to the role of supporting and nurturing families with babies and young children.

During fertility struggles in my mid-twenties, I channelled all of my energy (and grief) into learning bodywork for the childbearing cycle and infant massage. It was at this moment that the fire was ignited in me about what undisturbed physiological birth could look like. I was in awe.

I was later blessed with two beautiful daughters! Gretchen was born in hospital, induced, after months of fertility treatments. Stella was conceived naturally, born undisturbed at home, in water. These very different birth journeys prepared me to be deeply present to hold space for others.

I completed the Holistic Doula Program with Whapio and The Matrona Foundation and am a member of the Intentional Birth Community of doulas. I participate in trainings and workshops often including Body Ready Method.

I specialize in supporting families who desire a non-medicalized birth experience. I’m an advocate for bodily autonomy and informed consent. Research and evidence is valuable, but so is honoring thousands of years of evolution, tradition and intuition. Trusting that our bodies hold the deepest wisdom is essential. I am called to this work with genuine passion and profound respect.

XO love, Catherine

“Our bodies need us to turn inward and attune ourselves to the intelligence they offer instead of outward, where we rely on others to instruct us or alarm us.”
